Ashby + North Berkeley Bart Station Planning

In collaboration with the City of Berkeley and Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), Plan to Place developed a comprehensive engagement strategy for integrating community visions into the development of the Ashby and North Berkeley BART stations. By utilizing online engagement platforms and facilitating thoughtfully curated engagement activities, such as community advisory group (CAG) meetings, “pop-up” workshops, surveys, and stakeholder meetings, Plan to Place effectively identified community members’ priorities pertaining to housing affordability, density, station access, height, and open space requirements for the respective sites. The perspectives garnered through these activities were instrumental in forming the initial planning framework as well as zoning/site and conceptual scenarios.
